Toki Film Festival

Toki Film Festival Kia ora I am Hayley, I am from Karoro School. I loved the St Patrick's School film. They made a rap and it was a remix from Bad Guy. It is my favourite song and it was amazing. There was really good filming of lots of different places around our town. This showed Our Place very well.

Amazing Dragonfly Dragonflies are living things and they live for 6 months. They are Invertebrates which means they have no bake bone. They are also not social, that means that they do not live together, they live alone.

Habitat They like to live in the warm weather around the world which means that you can spot them in your garden.

Features They can get up to 20 miles per hour! They have big eyes - are all the better to see you with. They have blue, green, yellow, and red.


 Eat (food) They love to eat mosquitoes and gnats. Speed They can get up to 20 miles per hour!That is so fast.
 Predators Their predators are frogs, reptiles and fish.

Holiday Writing Nelson

Nelson In the holidays we went to Nelson for a week. We were staying at my Nana G's and Gruffys house . We got to see the cats and dogs, the dogs names are Ebony and Skey. Ebony is black and Skey is black and white. They have three cats SimbaI,Wally and Poppy, they are so cute and little. When we had unpacked the car we went to the new hospice in Nelson to drop Nana at the hospice. Then we went back to Nana G’s house. Next we went to the park to play but Taylor was running away. He wanted to go and get the dogs and take them for a walk to the river to play in the water. The next day we went to see my fun Uncle, he has a dog and a cat, they are going to live at my Nana’s house. Me and mum went to Kmart and the mall. We got Sushi for lunch, it was amazing. When we got home we let my Nana go and see my fun Uncle. Then we went to the Airport to get my Auntie Dana. She came to see my Uncle Robert. My Nana and her sister came over from Christchurch to see him and say hello too. Then we went to the Trampoline park to play there and bounce with the special socks that you have to buy and use there. The next day we went home.

Hello my name is Hayley. We have leaning to create our own images using a google drawing. First we took a self portrait of ourselves .We learnt to use the polyline tool which is found in the lines tab. You can colour it in. I found it a bit  stressful at first .When finished we deleted our photo. Add a colourful background. You can try this at home.

Westport Dance

                                Westport Dance
In the weekend I went to Westport for dance. I danced twice to the song’s Rainbow and Me Too. My mum went with me. When I came of stage my mum said good work, you can go to subway if you want to. So we did.

The next day we went to Charleston to dance again. After I had danced it was a long way back to Westport and then back home to Greymouth. It was so boring on the way.
I had to go back again to the competitions in Westport the the next week. This time we went to the seal’s colony. I could see about 80 seals. They smelled a bit funky.
Then we went to the shop for an ice cream. I got a trumpet and my Mum, Mason and Taylor had  slushies. My Dad had licorice and then we went home.
